Welcome to one of my favorite aspects of retreat!!! I commend you on your choice of vacation...
There are many, many benefits of Spa breaks and they are a growing industry as more and more people realize how important it is to look after oneself.
I am in the process of gaining a Lifestyle Spa Specialist certification so I literally AM learning more every day! I look forward to sharing more with you! In the meantime, however, I still have access to a wealth of knowledge and information about all kinds of spas all over the country and indeed, all over the world.
There are many different types of spas and your first step is to determine which type you are looking for. Types of spa include Medical Spas, Day Spas, New Age Spas, Dental Spas and the list goes on. Are you looking for a weekend away with the girls or with a partner for sheer, unadulterated pampering and relaxation? Are you looking for a holistic approach including detox, nutrition guidance, lifestyle coaching etc offering you guidance on how to maintain your sense of well-being after you leave? Perhaps you have a condition of a medical nature which you would like a licensed doctor's input on as well as the pampering. Treatments such as Chemical Peels, Laser Treatments, Laser Hair Removal and Skin Tightening take place at Medical Spas.
Not only are there many different types of spas, but there are many different types of treatments. Distinguishing between them all can be a tricky business! Some seem to be very similar but with different names, yet others seem incredibly obscure. Still others are very popular. Here are some spa term definitions - they can be confusing!
Whatever your requirements, I have the tools to ensure that you will be treated by licensed professionals with proven success, reputations and experience.
Spiritual Events
As well as working with Spas, I have a collaboration with Carrie MacDonald who works to set up events of a spiritual nature. Between us, we locate venues, hire educators, speakers, lecturers and create workshops, seminars and other events of a holistic nature. These events are intended for various locations, primarily of a spa nature, so along with locating venues etc., my role will be organize transportation and overnight accommodation where required. There is a very spiritual tone to this collaboration so that speakers will include intuitives, mediums, healers and much more. As events are prepared, they will be listed here.
